“ Amazing. This place is pretty much half restaurant, half market. The pros of the grocery section; 1. A lot of imported delicacies and dry goods. They have everything from fresh fish to Japanese Oreo tasting cookies (a fav of mine), to Japaness imported Fanta and Monster, to meats. Also love their imported curry rice in the mylar pouch. 2. Pretty decent selection of domestic beers and IPAs - they got Tioga-Sequoia beers, Modelo, etc 3. Not just Asian oriented groceries, they have a lot of Creole and Mexican stuff as well. Great selection of seasonings. The restaurant portion; In my opinion, the true winner here. Service; 1. Lauren at the front end is always super friendly. 2. As is, the woman I presume to be the restaurant manager. I asked her and the gentleman working tonight to pack my teriyaki bowl really well as I had a 2 hour drive home. They understood the assignment, 6 hours later it was still warm! Those two deserve a raise! The prepped food; 1. Their beef teriyaki bowl is a must try. With broccoli, it's even better! 2. Their Basa fish and salad meal is a close second. I'm not a huge fan of most fish, but their preparation and frying of it is great. Paired with some tartar sauce makes for an excellent filling meal on the cheap. 3. Their salmon nuggets. Absolute perfection, order fries with it; thank me later. All in all, a hidden gem and a new favorite of mine. ”
“ Great food and excellent prices. Seafood is very fresh and well prepared, looking to return soon. ”
“ Central Fish is very nostalgic for me. I grew up coming here with family from an hour away. On this day I ordered the salmon nuggets which according to them is a popular item. It was very delicious. I have to agree with that statement. It is breaded lightly and fried. The breading was thin and the nuggets were juicy considering its fish. It was not dry at all. Then I ordered the veggie tempura to top it off and it was very good. Fried to order. I will be back and I will recommend this place. From what I can tell the made daily fresh sushi looked very good. ”
“ Chicken katsudon is to die for. It takes a little time to cook but it is well worth the wait. The chicken is fantastic, the sauce is great and the rice is very fluffy. The service is always great and the workers are awesome! ”
“ We love buying fresh salmon here and making our own sushi rolls at home. We like that the fish is packed in ice and they will slice it for you for an extra charge. ”
“ Not a great part of town but great prices, food is good and big portions. Fish is always fresh! Half the price of eating at the coast! ”
“ It doesn't get fresher than Central Fish Company! I had popped in here before to grab groceries but finally had the chance to get here in time before they close. I wish I had come earlier though because I really wanted to try the scallops but they were sold out for the day! I like that several items like the sauces, paper towels, and utensils are available for us to self serve. All the food came out piping hot and crunchy and just so delicious. Fish and Fish: 5/5 if you're shying away from carbs, this is a great deal. We ordered this to split for a group of 4, giving everyone and extra filet. Shrimp and chips: 5/5 If you like shrimp, this is a must try Breaded squid: 4/5 The squid is reaaallly good and you can tell its good quality - only downside is that it was smaller than we expected so between the four of us we each got one bite. Vegetable tempura: 4/5 a little heavier on the batter than ideal, but not so much that we couldn't enjoy it! ”
“ One of my favorite places to come and shop at, they have a lot of Japanese food items that I consistently buy. I love the diversity! Today I ordered a poke bowl and a miso soup, both 100% exceeded my expectations! I've had other food from here but this was very good!! My definite new go to for a salmon poke bowl and now I'm in trouble because I've found a new favorite AND I work down the street from them lol Thank you Central Fish!! ”
“ I love this place so much! It is so nostalgic. Central Fish Market is our go to for all things Asian, but especially when we're craving an authentic meal. Not only do they have the best frozen and pantry items, but you can also get some hot meals. Their seafood section is also diverse. We decided to get a Poké bowl this time. The poke bowl was heavy! It was $17 but had warm, perfectly cooked rice. On top it also had a lot of crab salad, edamame, seaweed salad, squid in ginger and mini squids (didn't like these as much). Of course you also get your choice of protein. We went for tuna. ”
